Common Questions
What does a registered will do?
A registered will records three things in advance: who receives what, who cares for your minor children, and who carries out your instructions. Registration places that record with the DIFC Courts Wills Service or the Abu Dhabi Judicial Department — Civil Wills Section, so it can be found later. It does not prejudge how a court reads any clause.
What happens if I die without a will in the UAE?
Your estate is handled under the law that applies to you. That law may divide your assets differently from your wishes, and the process usually takes longer for your family. A registered will records your instructions in advance.

SRAG Wills is a wills consultancy and a child brand of SRAG, based in Business Bay, Dubai. We prepare will drafts in English and Arabic, support registration with the DIFC Courts Wills Service and the Abu Dhabi Judicial Department (ADJD), and support estate and inheritance cases with the Dubai Courts. We are a consultancy, not a law firm and not a government body — registration decisions rest with the authorities; our work is the drafting, guidance, and paperwork that gets you there ready.
Where are you located, and can we meet in person?
Our office is at Office 1065, Tamani Arts Tower, Bay Square, Business Bay, Dubai. You are welcome to meet us there — and the first conversation can be in person, by phone, or by video call, whichever suits you. Registration appointments themselves are held by the authorities, in person or virtually depending on the route.
How much do your services cost?
Our fees are quoted at consultation, before any work begins — no surprises mid-process. Registry fees are separate and published by the authorities themselves: the DIFC Courts Wills Service and ADJD each publish their own fee schedules, and we confirm the current figures for your route with you before you pay anything to them.
Which languages do you work in?
Every will draft is prepared in English and Arabic, and we review it with you line by line so you understand every clause. For the ADJD route, documents not in Arabic must be translated by a Ministry of Justice–certified office — we handle that paperwork trail before you file. For the DIFC Courts route, note that the signing appointment requires a basic grasp of English; translators are not accepted in the room.
